It’s June and Oregon Cider Week is just around the corner!

Oregon Cider Week, June 20-30, 2019, features events, releases, promotions, and specials at cideries around the state. In its eighth year, this 11-day event hosted by Northwest Cider Association boasts the state’s best creations from cidermakers to chefs.

With our expanded summer hours, Slopeswell plans to showcase some of the best we have to offer right here for you in the Gorge. Can’t make it into Portland for all of the events and menus? No problem. Join us for eight days of special releases and unique events.

While we attend the Portland International Cider Cup awards party and kickoff dinner on June 20, you can visit our taproom for a very special tasting with local specialty shop Arome, featuring spices, tea, oils, and vinegars. This free event will be hosted in the taproom on June 20 from 6-8pm with cider and specialty tastes.

Throughout Cider Week, we will release eight new ciders, one each day we are open, named and dedicated to the Hood River parks and green spaces we support in the Heights. Follow us on Facebook to learn the about the amazing varieties of cider we plan to release that week in real time!

Not specific to Cider Week, but also happening in our taproom during this week are our regularly-scheduled live music Saturdays with no cover charge! Listen to Troy Richmond Dixon on June 22 and see Laura May + Heather Michelle live on June 29.

Finally, we are wrapping up the week with one of our favorite events yet! Rooted in Cider features curated small bites by Rooted in the Gorge and cider pairings for two small groups on June 30 from 1-4pm. You’ll learn about cider + food pairing from Slopeswell Operations Manager, Kristyn Fix, while noshing delicious bites and getting top-tier recipes from Rooted Owner/Chef, Kristen Lillvik. Tickets for this space-limited event are just $20 and you can get yours here.

Slopeswell Cider Taproom hours are Thursday 5-8pm, Friday 5-10pm, Saturday Noon-10pm, and Sunday Noon-4pm through Labor Day. To learn more about Cider Week events throughout Oregon, visit the event calendar here.
